Avon's Newest Skincare Breakthrough: Reversalist Day Cream and Illuminating Eye System

Avon is always cooking up amazing concoctions for making our skin happy.  The latest, their Reversalist Illuminating Eye System and Renewal Day Cream SPF 25, seems to do just that.

I gave them a try for a few days, but my mom quickly scooped them up from under me.  Apparently, she'd wanted the products since she heard of them.

Let me tell you a little about my mom: she's tried every single anti-aging product out there. She knows what she loves and knows what she hates. Her skin is fabulous (with just a few wrinkles here and there).

So, she gave the pair a try.  First up was the Renewal Day Cream. My mom found that it really seemed to improve the texture and overall tone of your skin.  She felt it made a perfect canvas for applying her usual makeup.  Also, while it worked it that way, she also saw a noticeable change in her skin--her wrinkles had gone down a bit and her face looked "glowy".

Even though that product was great, my mom's fave of the set was the Illuminating Eye System. It actually took her a little bit to figure out that it is a two-step process and that there is a hidden concealer-esque product on top. But she got the hang of it and was amazed. The "concealer" product on top is actually the sheer veil, which she loved most.  It's a tiny bit shimmery and can cover-up and highlight your eyes; basically the outcome is that your eyes look brighter.

A trick she learned was to apply this on top of her eye lids instead of a normal eye shadow primer. She has a lot of problems with eyeshadow creasing, and so far this has been the only product that has made her eyelids look totally smooth.

The products seem amazing--my mom's already asked me the price and gotten an avon lady!!
